This gem and mineral show is for everyone who loves rocks of all kinds. It has an extensive fossil display, sometimes with a 6′ cave bear skeleton. It has a whole room for rocks that are phosphorescent under black light. There is a spinning wheel for kids only with prizes. There are lots of $1-$5 items that kids can buy, or grownups for that matter. There is food available, door prizes and raffles. There are displays, workshops and demonstrations. Best of all are all the beautiful stones, gorgeous jewelry with these stones, bookends, crystals, fossils, books, tools, etc. This is a very family friendly show with an educational component.
The show takes place Friday, March 1st, Saturday, March 2nd, 10am-6pm, and Sunday, March 3rd, 10am-5pm, at the Newark Pavillion, 6430 Thornton Ave, Newark.
