Bring Mom for this Mother’s Day tea and tour the Cohen Bray Victorian family home in Oakland. It is full of special treasures. Among it’s goodies is a large collection of Emalita Cohen’s linoleum block prints, some newly discovered and an exceptional collection of hats from the Victorian, Edwardian,Roaring Twenties, Thirties and World War II era. Hats all the way up to the 1960’s. Wear your best chapeau. This home, unlike our other historical houses, is still lived in by the family. An Italian Stick Victorian built in 1983 for the marriage of Alfred Cohen and Emma Bray, it still has all of it’s furnishings and art pieces. Sandi Morey-that’s me- will be singing period songs and songs from YWCA Camp Timbertall, run for 30 years by Emalita Cohen and providing a wonderful singing repertoire for campers.
