Beyt Tikkun Synagogue-Without Walls will be celebrating Chanukah.  They say,  and many of us understand,  that you don’t have to be Jewish to “Celebrate the first national liberation struggle against western imperialism”.  On Friday evening, November 29, 2013 Beyt Tikkun will be celebrating Chanukah at 5:30pm at the Unitarian Fellowship at 1606 Bonita Ave, corner of Cedar in Berkeley.

Bring your children, bring your friends.  5:30PM help decorate & dredyl games for children, 6PM Rabbi Michael Lerner tells the real Chanukah story, 6:15 candle lighting (bring your own menorah if you have one), 6:20pm Achi Ben Shalom leads singing & dancing.  6:40-7:20pm vegetarian pot luck (they’ll provide latkes & applesauce).  Bring a substantial vegetarian main dish (no cheese & crackers, please)to share with 15 people.  7:30-9pm Shabbat Celebration & Service co-led by Rabbi Lerner & Achi Ben Shalom.  Admission: $10 (to pay for the latkes & advertising costs), plus bring a veggie main dish to share.  This schedule is available at www.beyttikkun.org.   Questions? shul@tikkun.org
