The third & newest Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior ship is currently docked at Pier 15 next to the Exploratorium and will be open for free tours on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17, 2013. Everyone is invited to tour the ship free of charge, meet the captain and the crew and learn about Greenpeace’s missions to save our oceans and to prevent illegal and unsustainable actions on the ocean. Greenpeace is an international organization, begun 35 years ago & promoting non violent direct action as a way of confronting some of the biggest environmental problems that exist today. The ship is as green as current technology affords and operates mostly under sail.
Tours will take place from 10am to 5pm both days with activities especially for children on Sunday from 10am to noon.
