Summer Sing is a group for grownups and almost grownups. Children ten and older who enjoy singing and like to take on round singing and harmony parts are most welcome. We sing traditional folk music from all over the world and I encourage recording the songs. We do use song sheets and some sheet music, but no one is required to have music skills, including music reading. If you’ve always wanted to delve into some of the great songs from Africa, Polynesia, the Balkans and our own wonderful Appalachian and Southern folks songs or the great sea shanteys of our own SF Bay Area maritime history, here is a good place to enjoy those songs with other like minded folks. This is a group for everyone, male voices are welcomed here.
Dates: June 27 – August 8, 2013. No meeting July 4th.
Fees: $55/6 weeks (current year Sing Thing members $50)
